Welcome to Soul Avenue

Soul Avenue is an outstanding party function band specialising in corporate events, weddings, university balls and birthday / anniversary parties. Formed 10 years ago, the band have performed over a thousand gigs including events for celebrities and television both UK and abroad.

About the band

  • Standard lineup is a five piece with female vocals. Can also provide up to 12 piece or as low as four piece depending on budget and stage area. 
  • You can increase band size with male and female vocals, brass section and percussionist. 
  • Soul Avenue can also provide solo acoustic guitar and classical piano.
  • All band members are full-time professional musicians who have played with Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone, Scouting for Girls, Seal, Eternal and Jamie Cullum.
  • Soul Avenue play all music styles from chart hits to the 60s.
  • Soul Avenue are happy to learn the first dance for weddings and can provide a DJ service in-between sets, both for FREE.

The tough part of wedding planning is done: you’ve sat through the demo CDs and taken stock of your choices, and you’ve finally picked your wedding band. Or is it?

Finding and hiring the band is hard work, but making sure that they strike just the right chord (sorry, couldn’t resist) is critical. The day is going to be one to remember, but don’t make it so because the music didn’t match the mood. Often overlooked in wedding planning, thinking through and communicating what music you two tend to like, the ambiance you want for the reception, and, of course, what’s likely to get your guests movin’ and groovin’. After all, great entertainment is the difference between your wedding being a massive hit and an expensive dinner party (because guests might just leave early).
